Linda's last day!!

If you have followed the strategic plan of FRC and The Bridge you will know that FRC decided to not have direct services but concentrate all efforts on collaboration. So in the process of moving the oversight of The Bridge from FRC to Interior Alaska Center for Non-Violent Living we needed to start at the top and look at leadership. Today is Linda Setterberg’s final day as the Coordinator of FRC. She was instrumental in the start up of The Bridge and will transition to the Operations Director. Tundra Greenstreet is moving into the role of the Program Services Director. We will continue to do direct reentry services and Marsha Oss the Reentry Case Manager will stay with The Bridge. The Bridge will remain a partner program of FRC.

The FRC Steering Committee is hiring a new FRC Coordinator currently, the position has been advertised on Indeed and we have had 6 applicants. The new Coordinator will have an office at City Hall with the VISTA AmeriCorps member serving the coalition and Fairbanks community.

From Linda: It’s been my privilege to work with FRC the past three years. I continue to be passionate about the intersectionality of recovery, reentry and mental health care. We are privileged to catch the wave of peer support in Alaska and hope to experience a tsunami of individuals with lived experience of recovery to become the workforce to end addiction, incarceration and suicide in Alaska.
